I was recently invited to my son’s birthday party in Brooklyn. The outdoor smells in New York are often not very pleasant. However, I must admit that it smells more like marjuiana than urine most recently. That is an improvement.We were outside talking when a long-time friend of ours arrived. We hugged and started to catch up. When I realized how amazingly wonderful he smelled. An awkward moment when you ask a guy, “What are you wearing?” You smell so good. He proceeded to tell me that he never wears cologne. And started pondering what it could be. It finally came to him. It had to be this laundry detergent that his brother-in-law uses and recently recommended to him and his wife. It was truly the only thing it could be.This wonderfully fresh, clean scent was so endearing. I had to know where I could get this laundry detergent.A couple of weeks went by, and I hadn’t heard from him. So I started to look for laundry detergents in my local grocery stores and on Amazon. The only thing he knew was that it was patchouli-scented. This seemed odd to me because my memories of the scent of patchouli were that it was always an overpowering scent that I didn’t particularly care for. This was different. And I had to know what it was.A few weeks later, a mutual friend was visiting me, and I was telling him about this laundry detergent I was waiting to know about. So, he immediately texted our friend who was at that point able to ask his wife the name of the laundry detergent. Finally, I was going to have an answer.Zum Laundry Soap Patchouli-scented. And I couldn’t purchase it fast enough. I was hoping that Amazon carried it because I was uncertain as to whether my local pharmacies or grocery stores would. And they didn’t. (I do try to buy local, if possible.) Amazon had it, and I had it in just two days.It did not disappoint. The scent is heavenly. I started with washing all of my beach towels. Now when I walk by the linen closet, I can smell that wonderful scent. So my plan is to wash everything I possibly can using Zum. I couldn’t be happier. And can’t wait for more dirty clothes to wash.
