Soda Stream had a long history before ending up in our hands. In 2008, Living.Well Magazine received its first Soda Stream. A home carbonation device with the capability of replacing bottled seltzer and even popular soda flavors.At that time, being unaware of its history, we were impressed. Over 100 years of history.It was reviewed and recommended for purchase by LWM in our 2010 issue, receiving the Tried & True Award and then again voted as product of the year in January one year later.Soda Stream has become as necessary as our coffee maker. And that is a hard act to follow.It seems that another company, much more relevant than ourselves, was also impressed by the capabilities of Soda Stream. Acquired by the PepsiCo Corporation in 2018, with the company being valued at $3.2 billion.I will never regret choosing it as product of the year in 2011. I believe that it is truly one of the best inventions ever.And it is alive and well today.
